Studies in Domination

Studies in Domination began as a response to personal events that, in many ways, reflect the broader political climate of domination that characterizes our times. This includes HOMEwRAP and the Perilous Times installations. The most recent work in Studies in Domination is America Selfie, which explores a portrait of America now -- and then -- a contemporary take on history painting.  The work addresses current events while incorporating art historical references, such as The Rape of the Sabine Women by many artists, from Giambologna to Picasso, to reflect the conceptual complexity that has formed America since the country's founding.
