Perilous Times at Ground Floor Workshop

A pattern of my praxis is to translate my paintings into architecture. Through Perilous Times at Ground Floor Workshop in 2011 in Brooklyn, I began to explore an architectural context for my series HOMEwRAP.  The installation responded to the eccentric architecture of the space – 40 feet long by 7 feet wide by 9 feet high -- while developing the design of a proposed building for Freedom Plaza in Washington DC.  The piece integrated painting, sculpture, bas reliefs, and lighting.
